Scottish Borders Council are supporting the national campaign with their own campaign – specifically targeting pensioners in the region to check their eligibility.

It is even more important for those of state pension age to check this winter, as those who are entitled to Pension Credit, will also automatically receive the Winter Fuel Payment.

Information on Pension Credit is available on the council website here: www.scotborders.gov.uk/olderpeoplesupport and SBC’s Financial Inclusion Team are on hand to assist people with the application process as well as overall financial support and advice for older people.
