Scottish Borders Council are seeking your views on local Cemetery and Burial Ground Management
The Council is engaging with local communities, stakeholders and staff to gain feedback and insight about the provision and management of Cemeteries and Burial Grounds. As a Burial Authority, we have a responsibility for 155 cemeteries and burial grounds across the region (the Council are not involved in any crematorium provision) – to shape the future of our Service we are looking to develop the first ever Cemetery Strategy for the region and welcome your views on what matters most.
Please take part in our engagement survey
Cemetery Strategy Engagement - Scottish Borders Council - Citizen SpaceThe feedback collected will help shape future service provision. Participating in the survey gives local residents, visitors and stakeholders the opportunity to share their views and seeks to ensure that services reflect the needs and values of the communities served by Scottish Borders Council. Once the survey closes, all responses will be reviewed and analysed. Results will be summarised in a report which will then be used to inform the development of our Cemetery Strategy.
The Survey is live now until December 15th – if you would like some hard copies, please get in touch with us on
