Resilient Communities
This is a scheme whereby local residents offer help to their neighbours in time of need anything from putting bins out, collecting prescriptions, shoveling snow etc. The scheme allows us to identify who needs help and also who is prepared to offer help. Sign up now and click all the items on the list that you could be called upon to help with. You are in charge of your own account so you can change what you are able to offer at any time.
Oil Purchasing
Since 2012 the Community Council have been operating a Group Purchase Scheme (for oil) this means that people can get a much cheaper rate by being part of a collective than they could by purchasing the oil on their own.
Community Council
Crailing, Eckford & Nisbet Community Council meet bi-monthly and alternate their meeting venues between Lothian Hall, Crailing and Eckford Village Hall. Community Council members represent the whole area however there is a good spread throughout the community with current members residing in Crailing, Eckford, Nisbet and Ulston. Anyone wishing to join a go-ahead group of people who are interested in making a difference for their neighbourhood will be warmly welcomed.
