Crailing Rideout 2017
« Back to HistoricalEach year the Jethart Callant and his followers ride to Crailing where they are warmly welcomed by the local community. They lay a wreath at the war memorial to honour those who have fallen during the war. The Jethart Callant is given a Quaich from the community to mark the occasion and sings a rousing chorus of 'Jethart's Here' in acceptance of the token. The Callant and his cavalcade will then ride onwards to Nisbet for refreshments before returning to Jedburgh.
It is a very special year for twenty one year old Brodie Irvine, as he arrives in Crailing with the Herald and cavalcade. Brodie is the 70th Jethart Callant.
