Rev Joseph Yair presided for 63 years. Clergy – Eckford is in the Presbytery of Jedburgh and Synod of Merse and Teviotdale. Patron the Crown. Established Church Rev Joseph Yair (Inducted 1829). Sittings 300 average attendance at Sabbath school 20.  Lena Buchanan and her family direct descendants of the Rev Yair (now living in Argentina) visited the church in 2014.
