Self taught, my paintings are based on photographs I have taken when observing nature and capturing the atmosphere of the moment. I love the power of the sea crashing against rocks and in contrast the seas tranquility blending into the sand. I am also inspired by the sheer beauty created in changing light and mood. I paint in acrylic, oil and watercolour, mostly seascapes and landscapes of my favourite places in the west coast/islands of Scotland, the beautiful Scottish Borders, Australia and Lanzarote. I also love puffins , especially their vivid colours and the way they interact is amazing. All prints are from my original paintings. My art can be found in Heart of the Borders & Caddyman Jedburgh, WhyNot? Galashiels, The Court House coffee shop Selkirk, Riverside Cafe ,Hawick and cards only can be purchased in Heart of Hawick and Born in the Borders. I also have my Art in various outlets in the West Coast of Scotland, Poppies near Connell, Room 15 Oban,Martrys Bay in Iona and the Iona Community shop. I attend various events throughout the year and have recently exhibited at the McMillan Art Show in Edinburgh successfully selling my paintings. Commissions considered
