Crailing, Eckford and Nisbet Community Council have set up and manage a very successful group purchase scheme for oil purchase with the express aim of saving local residents money. Its been in operation since 2012 and now has around 160 participants. Savings made since the inception of the scheme has surpassed £100,000.
The system is very simple - we tell you when we are about to place an order, you tell us how many litres you need (if any), we negotiate the best deal we can then let you know who the supplier is and how much you will be charged per litre. Then it is over to you to pay the supplier direct and confirm all of your details - so you are in charge and we do not get involved in any payments. All we ask is that you pay the supplier promptly so that deliveries are not held up.
