Woodside is owned and managed by gardening duo Emma and Stephen Emmerson. The Plant Centre is attractively located within the gardens and offers a good selection of hardy plants, many of which are grown at our own nursery. The timber Woodside Garden Centre stocks a range of practical gardening items such as seeds, seasonal bulbs, garden tools, gloves, and string as well as a superb range of wild bird food and feeders. In addition we also now stock a select range of unusual gifts for gardeners and non-gardeners. Our award-winning Bird House Tearoom is a treat for all. We are known for the freshness and quality of our cakes, soups and sandwiches. All our cakes are made on the premises by our own staff. Our scones are made fresh every morning – we don’t keep them or freeze them. Soups are freshly made and suitable for vegetarians. We always have a good range of gluten-free options available. We are also developing a vegetable garden at Woodside, which provides fruit, salads and vegetables for our Tearoom kitchen, as well as regularly raiding my own vegetable garden for fresh produce.
